After more than a year on the real estate market, Miami’s Versace Mansion finally sold for $41 million in a closed-door auction this summer. For those keeping score, that’s an $83 million discount from the home’s original $125 million listing price. The infamous property was bought by the Nakash family, owners of iconic ’80s denim brand Jordache, according to The Real Deal. The Nakash’s company, VM South Beach, is the chief creditor in the mansion’s foreclosure case.The Versace Mansion had trouble finding a buyer from the get-go. Originally listed for $125 million in June of 2012, the home was the most expensive in America at the time. The contraption was created to satisfy the demand of adventurous billionaires who want a truly unique boat, according to Austrian industrial design studio motion code: blue,With a 26-foot pool, cinema room, helipad, library, gym, laundry room, and private lounges, Migaloo would be perfectly equipped for the discerning billionaire. Plans call for it to be constructed with special pressure-proof glass and underwater lights to offer spectacular views when the submarine dives. No word on the cost yet, but given that this will be highly customizable, expect it to be in the multi-million dollar range.
It’s been a while since Cadillac last had a big coupe in its range, but now the automaker has decided to show us what such a car would look like if it were to be built. Called the Elmiraj Concept ($TBA), the big coupe showcases “a new vision for luxury driving and the top of the brand’s expanding range,” according to Cadillac. What this means is even if the Elmiraj doesn't end up being built, the design and ideas seen on this study will find their way on the brand’s upcoming S-Class-rivaling flagship sedan. German sports car manufacturer Porsche displays its new 4-door Panamera in a new video highlighting the exterior alterations. A brand not known for drastic changes in styling but more for the “evolution” of its designs, Porsche refines the luxury wagon with subtle changes in the aerodynamics of the car such as a new rear fender, window forms, front facade and roof line. Unchanged is the sporty nature of the vehicle, with aggressive attributes like the wide wheels, flared arches and red Brembo brakes still present.
